CWMPAS 1 2022 Concise Adult Practice Review

Today the Mid and West Wales Regional Safeguarding Board publishes the report of the Concise Adult Practice Review, CWMPAS 1 2022, in respect of an adult in Powys who sadly died in 2022.

The Review has been undertaken in accordance with statutory legislation set out in the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and accompanying guidance Working Together to Safeguard People – Volume 3 – Adult Practice Reviews (Welsh Government, 2016). 

Concise Adult Practice Review CWMPAS 1/2022, Dissemination Event

The dissemination event will share learning that has emerged from the Adult Practice Review CWMPAS 1/2022 in respect of an adult (Mr X) who sadly passed away in 2022 following a period of complex needs and multi-agency involvement. Mr X experienced challenges relating to his dual diagnosis of adverse mental health and substance misuse.

The review explored themes relating to mental health and well-being, substance misuse, risk management, multi-agency working, and transition from custody to the community.

The learning identified in this review is relevant for all statutory agencies who work with and support adults with complex needs and co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
